Payment and Insurance Information

I offer flexible payment options to help families access birth and postpartum doula support.

Many families use HSA or FSA funds for doula services, including birth and postpartum care. Some plans may require a Letter of Medical Necessity, while others do not. Requirements vary by plan and are the responsibility of the client to confirm.

For families seeking insurance reimbursement for doula services or using employer-sponsored fertility or family-building benefits, I provide itemized invoices to support the reimbursement process.

For eligible military families, Tricare may cover doula services under the Tricare Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration. Eligibility must be verified prior to services beginning.

Tricare Doula Coverage

I support eligible military families using Tricare coverage for birth doula services in accordance with current Tricare guidelines.

  • Eligibility must be confirmed before services begin

  • Covered services are billed in alignment with Tricare requirements

  • A nonrefundable retainer is required to reserve availability and is not covered by Tricare

Clients are responsible for confirming that their Tricare plan and birth location meet eligibility requirements. I am happy to guide families through this process and provide required documentation.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • HSA and FSA cards

  • Credit and debit cards

  • Apple Pay

  • PayPal

  • Zelle

  • Payment plans

Deposits and Payment Timing

A deposit or retainer is required to reserve all doula packages and due date availability.

For birth doula services, the remaining balance is due by 37 weeks of pregnancy.
For postpartum doula services, the remaining balance is due by the first scheduled shift.

All fees are fixed and are not dependent on insurance reimbursement or benefit approval.

Insurance and Reimbursement Notes

Clients are responsible for confirming that doula services meet their insurance or reimbursement plan requirements. While I provide documentation and support, insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed and does not impact fees owed.

For Tricare and insurance-based clients, timely communication and responsiveness are required to complete eligibility verification and claims-related follow-up.
